PROM

So my friends, how did your prom go? Mine was overflowing with joy. And goodnes gracious, a lot of mysteries were revealed. And now I also reveal unto you the moments, mark the day of February 11, 2006, our JS promenade.

7:00 a.m. I woke up early for the practice of the paraliturgy for the prom. Much to my dismay, the practice was supposed to be at 9:00 and some of the people who needed to attend the practice came late so we started late and went home late. Blah di blah di blah. Candle here, candle there. We also helped in arranging the tables that morning.

Proceeding to 11:30 a.m. I cleaned my nails. Spare me for being vain here, but it was needed because my dear bloggers, prom is the moment for change and coming out of our little freaking cocoons. Being the messy (or in our language: DAMAK) persona that i am, its very unusual for me to talk about hair, make up, nails and all that shitty things. And I must warn you, i might sound rather "KIKAY" here. Moving on. I cleaned my nails for one purpose-slash-statement. And if i tell you my purpose-slash-statement, i'm sure you would understand.

"Naka Havianas ka nga, may lupa naman sa mga singit ng kuko mo" After doing the gruelsome cleansing, i ate a BIG lunch.

1:30 p.m. Papunta na sa lugar ng aking mga sisters, ang parlor. To my surprise, i saw Ava on the same salon that i was gonna let my hair and make up dome. Coincedence ika nga. Don't worry, i'll spare you the details. I'll just keep the moments that happened there to me, my mom (who really did good on her job as a stage mother. way to go mom.) and the shokla who made me more beautiful that night. Oops, sorry, just can't help it. One more thing, the shokla was more excited than me, too. She/ he even asked for my picture. And i said "Uh.. Ok."

It was already 3:00 or 3:15 p.m. (i think) when the shokla was finished with my uberly lavishing transformation. And as tradition, girls roam around the city just to find an available photo studio to "roar" out there vain selves. In my case, it was the imagine studio just across the street. "Good, no need for me to ramp around the mall with almost 50 pairs of eyes looking at you." But one problem occured to me. I needed to cross the street with those freakin heels on my precious feet. ASA ANG HUSTISYA?

While inside Imagine studio, i suprised myself that i wasn't really that shy in front of the camera, photographer and my big mama. I was fooling around and joking and laughing my lungs out. buhbay poise, say hello to the modern day tarzan na naka dress.

There was still time for me to go to NCCC mall. Originally, the barkada's plan was to go there and have the group picture taken. I thought i would lack time so i decided not to go to NCCC mall. But i thought wrong. There was plenty of time and i decided to catch up with the gang.

UUUhhh... one second.

Bad decision kiddo. Wrong freakin move. If you go to NCCC mall, you have to be able to cross the freaking street again PLUS endure the pain of walikng in 2 inched stilletos PLUS more eyes in NCCC mall.

ok, i'll go. At least i have an assurance that i wasn't only one walking around i a formal attire and i'll be spending the night in that way anyway. Arriving there, we indulged and abused the moment, projecting in front of the camera. At least the camera didn't explode while we emoted in the studio.

4:45 p.m. this is it. Entering the school was like going into a mosh pit full of beautiful faces. And that my freinds, were the faces of marisians.Yasuy ug yantaw tanan. First, i looked for my partner, Mr. James Vales and half-begged him to stay in front of the line because i had a freakin part in the para-liturgy. Next came along the para-liturgy which was like torture to me. We were forced to stand until two cursed people were finished singing. Oops. sorry again. I was trying not to laugh that time. I don't know what made me laugh. I guess seeing the face of Vivien Mabao in the audience made me laugh. Wahhh tiguang.

Finally, torture was over. Its time to sit down and give my tootsies a rest. I was seated with James Vales, Beatrce Padilla, and Iryll Pagdalian. We chated as the people chated too.

We needed to dance with the waltz. We were in batch two. My feet was still hurting then. There's only one solution. Take it off, take it off. And suddenly, Vales had a brilliant idea. He sadi that after the dance, he would carry me. So we did. I danced barefoot and then he carried me. That was fun! wahhhahahahaha...

Eating time! Chibog dito. Chibog doon. The line towards the food resembled the ones in prison.Kaming lahat parang mga patay-gutom na nakalinya at naghihintay ng pagkakataon na makakain.

The Special awards was one of the highlights in the prom. I was shocked when my partner was nominated for prom king!!! way to go partner!! Congratulations to all the winners.

Disco. Sa lahat ng mga party animal, congrats, you did a good job.

And Finally, The LAST Dance. Oh puhlease. don't let me get started with this one.

Then ma'am lacson just said. "that's it for the prom. you amy go home now." Nobody stood up for 5 seconds. In short, the prom was bitin.

The afterprom. K1. Videoke. I sang my heart out. I was like drunk n there but actually, i didn't drink. Drunk but i didn't drink. Watever.I left the place at exactly 12am. Just like the story of cinderella. And as all fairytale stories go...

we all lived happily ever after.
